Located in southeastern North Carolina, Pender Pediatric Therapy was founded by Courtney Gibbs, MS, CCC-SLP in 2016. PPT is focused on helping children meet their developmental milestones through speech, language and feeding therapy. Early intervention is at the heart of our practice. Involving the family of a young child in a language rich, play based, therapeutic treatment program allows parents and caregivers ample opportunities to learn how to interact with and engage their children in language learning through modeling and coaching. Language learning continues beyond the toddler years, into preschool, elementary school, and beyond. Reading, writing, spelling, problem solving, and many other academic tasks require a strong language foundation.
Pender Pediatric Therapy now offers clinic-based services in three locations in southeastern North Carolina; Burgaw, Hampstead, and Supply. PPT also offers community based services in Wilmington (in homes, child care settings, and private schools). We continue to offer in-home services through the CDSA early intervention program and sessions in our clinic, as well as preschool and school visits in Pender, Duplin, and New Hanover counties. Our model aims to provide child and family centered, comprehensive developmental therapy that is focused on improving functionality and participation in all aspects of life.
